Message from the Founder

Mouaz Hachichou

There was a time when I was a newcomer to Canada, eager to pursue my education but struggling to find reliable information about colleges, universities, and the OSAP program in particular. I faced significant challenges and had to move from one place to another searching for clear guidance and support.

Those experiences inspired me to establish EduKey Inc. a company dedicated to simplifying the process for students. My goal is to ensure that every student can access accurate information and complete their educational journey with confidence, ease, and full support.

OSAP FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to help you make confident financial decisions.

Can I get a consultation before starting the registration process?

Absolutely, the consultation session helps you understand admission requirements and available financial support options.

Can I apply to more than one college?

Absolutely! You can apply to multiple colleges or universities; however, you must eventually choose one institution and a specific program to accept the offer and proceed with the enrollment process.

What is OSAP and what is its purpose?

OSAP is a financial aid program provided by the Government of Ontario to help students cover college and university expenses. It offers non-repayable grants and loans that are repaid after graduation.

Can I apply for OSAP if I study part-time?

Yes, you can apply for OSAP as a part-time student, but the amount you receive depends on your study load, personal income, and family income.

Can I use OSAP for online studies?

Yes, OSAP can be used for online programs as long as the college or university is approved in Ontario and the study load is considered full-time or part-time.

When should I apply for OSAP?

It’s best to apply for OSAP at least two months before the start of your semester to avoid any delay in receiving your funds.

Can I modify my application after submission?

Yes, you can modify your OSAP application if there are changes in your course load, income, or family status. This can be done within 40 days before term's end, through OSAP offcial website or your college or university’s Financial Aid Office.

What is the difference between a grant and a loan in OSAP?

A grant is money you don’t need to repay, while a loan must be repaid starting after six months from graduation.

Does family income affect the amount of OSAP funding?

Yes, family income impacts your OSAP amount. Higher income generally reduces the grant portion and increases the loan portion.

What should I do if my OSAP application is denied?

If your OSAP application is denied, you can submit an appeal explaining your financial or personal situation and provide supporting documents to prove your eligibility.

Do you communicate with colleges on behalf of the student?

No, colleges and universities do not allow anyone to communicate on behalf of the student. However, we provide professional academic guidance to help students communicate effectively and appropriately with their institutions.
